Q Q2: How would you advise an organization considering adopting a cognitive ability test in selection? What do you think about fairness here in terms of adverse impact?
Cognitive ability test in selection includes in thinking, such as reasoning, memory, perception, mathematical and verbal ability and the critical problem solving. As thus particular test can estimate the potentiality of the mental process of the applicant, therefore, I would like to advise an organization to adopt cognitive ability test in selection. This particular test is enough fair. This test can be used as a perfect tool for predicting the job performance as well (Heneman et al. 2015). In order to select the intelligent and capable employees for the organization, the selection process should involve cognitive ability test in selection.
